The 16th International Exhibition fpr Agriculture UzAgroExpo 2021was held in Tashkent from 24 to 26 November 2021. The Russian national pavilion, re-organised by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade (the operator EXPOCENTRE AO) in Tashkent in 2021, allowed to strengthen the previously established ties and continue successful cooperation with Uzbek partners. Russian exhibitors noted the high efficiency of participation in the exhibitions in Uzbekistan and expressed their desire to take part in similar events in the future.

An extensive exposition of the Russian manufacturers of agricultural machinery was organised with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. It included 15 Russian enterprises: Rostselmash, Petersburg Tractor Plant (KIROVETS), Volzhsky Combine Plant (Agromash), Bonum, Laboratory of Engineering Systems, AgroTech, Salskselmash and others. On the area of 450 sq. m there were showcased VECTOR 410 combine harvester with a reaper, the powerful RSM 2375 wheeled agricultural tractor, the famous serial tractor KIROVETS in a new modification, the AGROMASH 90TG crawler tractor, the URALETS mini-tractor, the Tuman-3 series boom sprayer and mineral fertiliser spreader and much more.

The Russian delegation was active on all three days of the exhibition. On the first day of the exhibition, Alisher Turaev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Alexey Bogdanov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus, Vaclav Jilek, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Uzbekistan, and other officials visited the Russian exposition as part of an official tour.

They showed keen interest in the equipment presented and noted its demand in the agriculture of Uzbekistan, taking into account the implementation of the plan to localise and organise joint production of agricultural machinery in the country.

On November 24, a solemn signing of a cooperation agreement between Tractor and Kokand Mechanical Plant for joint production of Uralets mini-tractors and attached tools on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan took place within the framework of the exhibition.

On 25 November, the second day of the exhibition, members of the official Russian delegation met with Khurram Teshabayev, Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Nodir Otazhonov, Chairman of the Management Board of Uzagroleasing. From the Russian side, the meeting was attended by Maria Yolkina, Director of the Department of Agricultural, Food, Construction and Road-Making Machinery of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Savonchik, Head of Sectoral Planning and Coordination of Scientific and Technical Development of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Alla Elizarova, Director of the Rosspetsmash Association. Representatives of the Russian group stands also took part in the event: Alexey Shveytsov, Commercial Director of Rostselmash Group, Nikolay Aksentiy, Export Sales Manager of St. Petersburg Tractor Works, and Valentin Gudkov, Export Department Lead Specialist of Pegas-Agro. The meeting discussed the localisation of Russian agricultural machinery production in Uzbekistan.

The Russian exhibitors prepared in advance for the exhibition by actively sending out invitations to their current and potential customers and buyers. A lot of work was done to prepare meetings with the Khokimiyats of several regions of Uzbekistan, leasing companies and banks, agro-clusters, importers and dealers of agricultural machinery and other enterprises in the field of agriculture.

One of the participants of the Russian group stand of Pegas-Agro held a meeting with representatives of AGRIHIM who expressed their interest in selling TUMAN series sprayers, as well as other machinery produced by Pegas-Agro, its marketing promotion and warranty service in the Republic of Uzbekistan under the dealership agreement.

A number of meetings were held between the ALMAZ Association and representatives of Uzbek organisations and farms. A preliminary agreement has been reached with Kokand Mechanical Plant on the supply of working tools for manufactured tillage machinery. An agreement on purchase of spare parts manufactured by ALMAZ was reached with Chinor farming enterprise. O`zagroservice" and Future Generation Marketing, companies selling tillage machinery and spare parts, expressed interest in supplying spare parts for sale in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The total projected supply of machinery is more than $100,000 per year.

AgroPostavka OOO held meetings with a number of Uzbek companies and farms, including some of them who had previously reached preliminary agreements on cooperation and equipment supply to Uzbekistan. AgroPostavka's participation in the exhibition helped strengthen the Uzbek partners' confidence in cooperation and accelerate the signing of contracts. A contract has been agreed with the poultry farm Xazorasp Diyor Parranda to supply a 2t/h fodder preparation line. Pro Meat and dairy producers have signed a contract for supply of a 5t/h fodder line. An agreement was reached for the purchase of a 4t/h feed line with Lazis parranda poultry farming company.

The participation of Russian companies in the UzAgroExpo 2021 exhibition and the machinery samples presented aroused genuine interest among the distinguished guests and specialists who visited the exposition. A large number of promising b2b meetings were held in the framework of this event, during which preliminary agreements on future deliveries and purchases were reached, and agreements on cooperation and joint production of machinery and equipment in Uzbekistan were signed.
