Today, Russian Week of Public Transport 2021, running from May 12 to 14, started at Expocentre Fairgrounds. This annual major convention and exhibition event has been held since 2015 to promote modernisation and development of urban and suburban public transport. 

The event is organised by the Golden Chariot International Transport Award and operated by Belteko OOO. The Week is held with support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Russian Ministry of Transport, Department for Transport and Road Infrastructure Development of the City of Moscow, with assistance of EXPOCENTRE AO.

This year's exhibition with a total area of over 5,800 square metres (gross) features innovative products for urban transport presented by leading industrial enterprises from Russia and abroad. The product sectors cover transport planning, urban transport infrastructure, rolling stock - tram, trolleybus, metro, suburban railway service, information systems and technologies in public transport, tunnel management - tunnel construction materials, insulation materials, ventilation systems, cable and heating networks, passenger flow control systems, and much more.

The accompanying programme of the Week will include the All-Russian Conferences on Transport Modelling as a Tool for Justification and Decision Support, Transport Energy in Urban Agglomerations, and a Panel on a New Model for the Legal Regulation Structure in the Field of Road and Urban Electric Transport. Preferential Acquisition of Rolling Stock. New Rolling Stock for Russian Carriers, as well as the Green Light competition of promising developments for public transport.

More than 3,000 professionals are expected to attend the Week's events, including transport and industry executives, heads of municipalities and representatives of legislative assemblies interested in the development of an efficient public transport model as an essential element of sustainable urban functioning.
