Khimia has become an essential component of the chemical education in Russia. The regular Centre for Science and Education presented innovative developments of such leading Russian universities as Lomonosov Moscow State University, Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia, MIREA – Russian Technological University, Skryabin Institute of Microbial Biochemistry and Physiology of the Russian Academy of Sciences,  Institute of Solid State Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Chemistry of the Komi Science Center, Devyatykh Institute of Chemistry of High-Purity Substances of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and others.

Anton Alikhanov,

Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation

“Throughout its history, Khimia has continuously retained its status as the most important business event of the chemical industry. Khimia was launched in 1965 as part of the unprecedented in its scale and unparalleled in the world project of chemicalisation of the national economy. At present, our country is setting itself no less complex and ambitious tasks than 60 years ago. A national project to ensure technological leadership called New Materials and Chemistry is being now developed. It envisages a rapid increase in the output of chemical products, the creation of production of new strategically important materials in a very short period of time, the development of domestic applied science, and the strengthening of the industry's employee base.”

Sergey Katyrin, President at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation

“The Russian chemical industry continues to be a key pillar of the national economy, not only providing the domestic market with necessary products and technologies, but also occupying a strong position on the world stage. Khimia is one of the most important and established trade shows, which for many years has served as a unique platform for dialogue between industry professionals, researchers and government officials. It opens up new opportunities for discussing the main directions of the industry development, demonstrating innovations and searching for new solutions in the conditions of global challenges. Every year Khimia attracts more and more exhibitors and visitors, which emphasises the growing interest in the Russian chemical sector, reflects the international importance of this show and its potential for strengthening economic ties. The support from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Chemists Union and other leading industry organisations, as well as the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry testify to the importance of this show for the national economy and international cooperation.”
