CJF – Child and Junior Fashion 2025. Spring took place at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds, Moscow, on 18–21 February 2025. This edition has once again confirmed the event’s status as the largest business event for the children's fashion industry, which brings together manufacturers, suppliers, retailers, designers, and industry experts.

The spring edition of 2025 became a platform for demonstrating the latest trends in the segment of children's and teenage clothing, footwear and accessories, as well as a platform for discussing current issues of the industry such as digitalisation, HR policy, marketplaces, and retail.
The exhibition brought together more than 200 key companies in the children's clothing, footwear and accessories industry and demonstrated unique new products and design developments reflecting the current trends of 2025-2026 and general trends for the entire children's goods market.
The key topic of this spring was the discussion of HR issues and career guidance in the textile and garment industry with the participation of government officials, and heads of relevant colleges and universities.
Managers and specialists of production companies, representatives of wholesale trade, retail chains, and distributors working in this market discussed relevant issues of children's clothing industry development, got acquainted with new collections, found new partners, and formed strategies of their business development.
As usual, well-known and new brands held premiere shows of their fashion collections on Children's Catwalk.
Conference programme
The conference programme featured more than 30 events with the industry’s leading experts, which covered key areas of development of the children's fashion industry such as career guidance, digitalisation, marketplaces, retail solutions, and support for small and medium-sized businesses.
The programme opened with the Meeting of the Expert Council on Youth Policy, Culture, Education and Child Safety under the Russian State Duma on the Topic of Career Guidance in the Textile and Garment Industry (recording). It was moderated by Yana Lantratova, First Deputy Chair at the Russian State Duma Committee for Education.

“...EXPOCENTRE as an organiser of major trade shows has initiated and now successfully implements together with the authorities, key industry players, investors, leading universities and colleges a special project called EXPO-Accelerator. It helps young talented people to make the right professional choice in life. The project is already active in the healthcare sector, facilitating collaborations between medical students, their academic mentors, investors, and manufacturers. Last year, EXPO-Accelerator was successfully launched at CJF – Child and Junior Fashion. I hope its participants will tell us about it today...Our common task is to preserve the value of professionalism as a pledge of product quality, first of all, to raise the prestige of sewing professions and, ultimately, not to let the products of Russian brands be devalued...”
The meeting aimed to help solving staffing issues in the textile and garment industry, modernise the training system in this field, promote sewing professions among young people, including through family upbringing, improve the system of incentives for young professionals when they are applying for a job, and raise the prestige of the profession.
Its moderator was Elena Kalgina, Deputy Chair at the Expert Council on Youth Policy, Culture, Education and Child Safety under the Russian State Duma, Director and co-founder of the I’m on Style project for young designers.
The meeting was attended by members of the Expert Council on Youth Policy, Culture, Education and Child Safety at the Russian State Duma, major players in the children's clothing and footwear market, representatives of interested executive authorities, parent associations, universities, and business support structures. The reports were made by Aleksandr Solonkin, Chair at the Expert Council on Youth Policy, Culture, Education and Child Safety at the Russian State Duma, Natalia Zolotareva, Advisor to the Russian Minister of Education, Larisa Bebeshko, Deputy Director at the Department of State Policy in the Sphere of Upbringing, Supplementary Education and Children's Recreation of the Russian Ministry of Education, Oles Balabkin, founder of the digital platform of career guidance diagnostics for schoolchildren Career.online (St. Petersburg), Larisa Sanatovskaya, Executive Director of the National Parents Association, Alexander Peremyatov, founder of the SLAVA Concept federal chain of department stores for Russian designers, Liana Tabatadze, Director at Krasina Moscow College of Creative Industries, and other experts.
At the end of the meeting, the participants prepared a resolution containing proposals to the federal executive authorities and the Russian State Duma.
CJF – Child and Junior Fashion 2025. Spring once again became the centre of discussion of innovative solutions for retail. The 3rd Forum on How to Create a Perfect Children's Dream Fashion Boutique was organised as part of EXPO-Academy. The forum offered exhibitors and visitors tools for creating a successful business in the children's clothing industry.
The forum was moderated by Elena Danilevskaya, Federal Curator of the Russian Children's Goods Testing Project ‘Moms in Action’.
The event programme included several sessions on various aspects of developing your own children's clothing shop and managing it effectively, such as trends in children’s retail, new tools in shop design to attract traffic; communication via details: how visual merchandising communicates values of a children’s clothing brand; a showcase as a tool to increase sales and communication with customer; how to sell a new collection without discounts to manipulative buyers, specifics of presenting the price of premium segment goods, and a masterclass on if a burnout in your favorite occupation possible, causes, detection and prevention, real life cases.
The forum participants discussed what is needed to open a shop, the algorithm for creating and implementing a new shop concept, how to properly organise the trading area of a children's shop to attract customers and increase sales, how to attract and retain customers forever, and how to bring a retail outlet to a sustainable condition.
The Practical Session on the Adaptation of Business to New Product and Labelling Requirements. What Is Important to Know and How to Prepare? was organised by the ROSTEST Academy on 19 February.
Experts discussed the safety of children's products and current issues of legislation application with business representatives. Experts from ROSTEST presented recommendations and explanations on how businesses can prepare for new product requirements (changes in technical regulations), how not to get lost in the maze of requirements for children's products, on the suspension of approvals based on real cases, on how to prevent the cancellation of certificates and declarations, and what to do if an approval document is suspended.
The participants in the 26th Russian Trade Forum for Children’s Goods Suppliers discussed issues of e-commerce development, labelling of children's goods, and fashion market trends. There were focus sessions on challenges and trends that will change the market of children's goods and help suppliers to be one step ahead of competitors, on mandatory labelling of children's clothes and accessories for children's clothes from 1 March 2025: practical advice from a regulator on hustle free labelling, on key marketing tools for those who want to increase sales of children's goods and, especially, children's clothes, and a special presentation about sales of children's clothes on marketplaces.
In addition, the two-day Centre for Retail Chains offered the convenience of a special business zone for retail representatives, a comfortable visit to the exhibition, and a series of workshops. Negotiations of manufacturers of children's goods with buyers of retail chains were organised by Imperia Forum and EXPOCENTRE.
The Forum on Successful Sales on Marketplaces in 2025: Trends, Opportunities and Business Development Tools in the Children's Goods Industry (recording), organised by XWAY, generated a lot of interest among the participants.
The event was moderated by Anton Larin, XWAY CEO. The speakers were e-com experts, as well as Valeria Ovsyannikova, Group Head of Children's Clothing and Footwear at OZON, and Anna Syngur, Manager of Key Partner Relations and Advertising Strategy at Wildberries Media Department. They spoke about current trends and prospects of the marketplace market, the specifics of selling children's clothing on leading marketplaces, and tools for promoting goods.
For the first time, creators of popular YouTube and Telegram channels took part in the event to share their own strategy for launching new products and methods of working with bloggers and barter traffic.
There were also special workshops from leading experts held within the EXPO-Academy educational project. They discussed the secrets of success of players in the children's clothing market, changes in the tools for promoting goods from the manufacturer to the consumer through distributors and dealers, and fashion trends in children's clothing to increase sales in the coming season. They also talked about how to multiply repeat sales, the situation in international logistics, possibilities of supplying goods from unfriendly countries, and trends in children's global fashion.
Special attention was paid to the development of Russian-Chinese cooperation. Thanks to collaboration with Sinoruss, the programme featured the Forum on Business with China: Key Solutions for the Children's Clothing, Footwear and Accessories Industry, which discussed key issues related to working with Chinese companies, including payments, logistics, and the organisation of joint ventures between Russia and China in Russia, and the Forum on Chinese Companies Working with Russia: Prospects and Trends in the Children's Goods Market, which was organised for Chinese participants in Chinese. The events were moderated by Anastasia Valova, Managing Partner at Sinoruss.
One of the most vibrant events of CJF – Child and Junior Fashion 2025. Spring was CJF. Children's Catwalk, where leading brands presented their new collections of children's clothing and accessories. The fashion shows were held twice a day and became an important part of the conference programme. The project was organised with the support of PROfashion Media Agency and the TOP SECRET model agency.
CJF. Children's Catwalk not only allowed brands to present new collections, but also became a platform for young designers and students of relevant colleges, who got a unique opportunity to present their ideas to a wide audience.
