Key new products
Several breakthrough photonics solutions will be displayed at Photonics 2025. Here are some of them:
· Colour holography of the future: new 3D image technology
Special Systems. Photonics will present an experimental system of holography, including a spatial light modulator and an RGB laser. The system is designed to study different types of holography: Fresnel, Fourier, two-phase holography, and algorithmic processing of holograms.
· Laser welding in extreme conditions
LASERCUT will demonstrate the Wattsan 4-in-1 G2 laser welding machine, which has been successfully tested at -30 °C in Antarctica. The equipment is used at the Bellingshausen polar station. The company's specialists trained the station's personnel in laser technologies in just one day.
· Rangefinders for UAV detection
Special Systems. Photonics will introduce laser rangefinders capable of locating UAVs, objects on the ground and critical distances from 5 metres to 25 kilometres. The rangefinders are used in ground vehicles and defence applications.
· High speed camcorders
General Optics will introduce a new powerful video camera NEO 25M/C-RU, which is capable of capturing up to 1,000,000 frames per second. Thanks to the new backlight sensor technology, the camera captures dynamic processes with maximum detail. The device is used in ballistics, defence industry, and research and test laboratories.
· Hyperspectral cameras for analysis and quality control
Azimuth Photonics will demonstrate the Specim FX17 (950-1,700 nm) and FigSpec FS23 (400-1,000 nm) hyperspectral cameras. These cameras are used in materials science, remote sensing, spectral analysis, and product quality control.
· Optical interference filters
Girikond will show a new series of FOI-1 infrared filters that highlight the 2-20 µm spectral range. They are used in infrared optoelectronics systems, instrumentation, and scientific research.
· Laser modules for precise measurements
LLS will present 1,535/1,570 nm laser modules that provide measurements up to 20 km with an accuracy of less than 5 metres. These systems are eye-safe and designed for navigation, target designation, and geodesy.
Conference programme
The show is accompanied by a large-scale conference programme including key events such as:
· the 13th Congress of the Photonics Technological Platform; leading researchers and experts will present reports on key areas of photonics, discuss the achievements and prospects of the industry. The Congress brings together 18 conferences on different topics.
· the Assembly of the Laser Association, the Laser Association members will gather to discuss strategic issues of laser technology development, exchange experience, and identify priorities.
· the Extended Meeting of the Council for Optics and Photonics of the Department of Physical Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences; the meeting will review current advances in optics and photonics, discuss directions of fundamental and applied research, as well as the integration of science and industry.
· the Meeting of the Council for Priority Technological Direction in Radiophotonics; its participants will discuss the development of radiophotonics, including issues of standardisation, implementation of technologies in various industries, and prospects for international cooperation.
Photonics 2025 will also offer a regular Job Fair for applicants and companies of the laser and optical industry at the stand of the Laser Association (FH034, Forum Pavilion).
