Sergey Selivanov, First Deputy Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO, will take part in the 6th Russian Conference on Branding "Territory Brand: Stereotype or Space for Imagination". The conference will take place on 1 June, organised by the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with its partners.
Sergey Katyrin, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will give the opening address. Promoting territorial brands of individual goods and services in a particular industry is much more effective when there is government support, in particular, a government strategy based on a territorial attribute. It is the territorial brand that helps demonstrate the competitive advantages of a territory, as well as its successful brands of goods and services, and increase the region's attractiveness to investors and businesses.
Representatives of federal and regional authorities, chambers of commerce and industry associations, higher education institutions, manufacturing enterprises and service organisations have been invited to participate in the event. The conference will discuss the most topical issues concerning branding in the country, forming a positive image of Russian territories, products and services in order to promote them on the domestic and foreign markets. During the conference, experts will discuss the role of a region's brand, which enables a territory to attract consumers, investors or tourists and increase resources for its development.
What effect had sanctions and the withdrawal of foreign companies from the Russian market on domestic branding? What is the role of the state and adopted regional strategies in promoting the region and regional brands? How do the creative industries, the creative community, and business associations contribute to the development of regional branding? These and other questions will be answered by the speakers and participants in the conference.
