The Forum on Effective Franchising as a Successful Business Development Model took place at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds within the conference programme of Mir Detstva 2024 and CJF – Child and Junior Fashion 2024. Autumn.

The forum was organised by EXPOCENTRE in partnership with TopFranchise. It was moderated by international franchising expert Vasil Gazizulin, a founder and managing partner of TopFranchise.

The event brought together representatives of large, medium and small businesses. Expert entrepreneurs from the children’s industry shared cases, strategies and insights, and discussed pressing business issues.

Vasil Gazizulin noted the positive changes in the Russian franchising market: “In the 2010s, the market consisted of about 300 brands and 15,000 outlets. Now the situation has changed for the better as about 3,500 franchises and about 150-180 thousand operating outlets exist on the market. And it continues to grow.”

Boris Nuraliev, President at the Russian Franchising Association, emphasised that children's franchising is one of the key drivers of franchising development in Russia: “We are systematically scaling up the best educational practices, primarily Russian ones.”

He also noted that modern franchising in children's education is largely driven by women: “Women have proved to be the most active and sustainable in this field.”

Vyacheslav Tretyakov, founder of the One Partnership chain, who is currently developing the children's brand ‘Kidosaur’, pointed out the lack of shops with children's toys in small Russian cities and expressed confidence in the prospects of this area: “We see great opportunities for the development of children's goods franchises.”

Elena Mingova, a representative of the Franchising Committee of Opora Rossii, head and founder of the Cosmokids chain of kindergartens, shared the secrets of successfully opening a franchise outlet, and spoke about her experience and typical mistakes of novice franchisors.

The forum speakers expressed their readiness to give personal counselling to all interested parties and to tell more about the first steps in franchising.
