The 29th edition of the International Exhibition for the Children’s Goods Industry – Mir Detstva 2024 and the 32nd edition of the International Exhibition for Child and Junior Fashion – CJF – Child and Junior Fashion 2024. Autumn have opened at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds. The shows are organised by EXPOCENTRE AO with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Mir Detstva is the largest exhibition for the children's goods industry in Russia, Eastern Europe and the CIS. This year, more than 500 companies from Russia, Belarus, China, Turkiye and Uzbekistan occupy an exhibition area of about 14,000 square metres. Uzbekistan is presenting its first national pavilion.

CJF – Child and Junior Fashion is the key event in the world of children's fashion. The show brings together many companies from almost all continents and the largest market players, representatives of authorities, and heads of relevant associations twice a year in Moscow.

Leading manufacturers and suppliers of children's and teenage clothing and footwear present a diverse range of models at CJF – Child and Junior Fashion 2024. Autumn. This season, more than 250 brands from Russia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belarus, China, Finland, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Turkiye and Uzbekistan, which will be present for the first time, occupy the exhibition area of more than 6,000 square metres to show new collections of fashionable and quality clothing, footwear, accessories for children and teenagers, unique design solutions, fabrics, and accessories.

During the official opening ceremony of the exhibitions, Lilia Gumerova, Chair at the Russian Federation Council Committee for Science, Education and Culture, emphasised that the topic of the children's goods industry was one of the Council's priorities. “We consider it a strategic direction and are grateful to the regions that are working to develop this sphere,” she said.

Tatiana Butskaya, First Deputy Chair at the Russian State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Issues of Fatherhood, Motherhood and Childhood, called Mir Detstva a leading global platform where all leading manufacturers, distributors and experts in the field of children's goods meet. “This is a business exhibition where you can show your new products and find those who will become reliable partners in business development,” she noted.

Alexey Mednikov, Assistant to First Deputy Prime Minister and Member of the State Commission on Counteracting Illicit Trafficking of Industrial Products, noted that the presence of Russian manufacturers at the exhibition had been increasing every year. They adequately compete with foreign companies, and this competition improves the quality and safety of children's goods.

Antonina Tsitsulina, President at the Children's Goods Industry Association, said that domestic manufacturers had been growing and developing together with this exhibition for more than twenty years. She invited all those present to take part in the conference programme, where the new goals facing the children's industry would be discussed.

On behalf of the organisers, Maxim Fateev, Director General at EXPOCENTRE, thanked the participants for the extensive showcase of children's goods they presented at the exhibition. He also expressed his gratitude to the relevant ministries and associations that had helped create the exhibition.

The official opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Zeng Fengbao, Mayor of the People's Government of Shantou City, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and different industry associations.
