The Rusweld 2024 International Exhibition for Welding and Cutting Equipment, Technologies and Materials has opened its doors at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds, Moscow, Russia. The show is organised by EXPOCENTRE AO with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and NAKS – the National Agency of Welding Control and under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This year more than 60 companies from Russia and China will demonstrate state-of-the-art welding and metal cutting technologies, advanced tools and welding equipment. The show will occupy an area of over 2,000 square metres.

The Rusweld exhibitors demonstrate welding equipment in operation. This allows visitors to see the functionality of the equipment, assess the quality of welding, and select the equipment that is suitable for the most efficient solution of production tasks.

The Meeting of the Russian Welding Professional Community (RWPC) opened this year’s conference programme. The event was moderated by Yuri Gortyshov, President at Tupolev Kazan State Technical University.

Sergey Shtokolov, Director at the National Industrial Welding Society, made a report on the state of welding materials production in Russia and the main development objectives. Mr. Shtokolov analysed the last 10 years and outlined in detail the situation in the industry.

“The dynamics of market volume growth in monetary terms for this period has grown by 300%, but this growth is primarily due to the growth of the dollar exchange rate. In general, the production of welding materials is in a stable state,” said Sergey Shtokolov.

Alexey Sigaev, General Director at the West-Ural Certification Centre, and Alexey Zavyalov, Chief Engineer at BLOS OOO, also made presentations at the meeting.

Rusweld 2024 is open till September 12.
