This year’s conference programme features the Business Forum on Electrical Engineering. New Energy of Development.  Its events will be devoted to the most relevant issues faced by the participants of the electrical market.

The show and forum opened with the Strategy Session on the Electrical Market of Russia 2024: New Energy of Challenge. In his welcoming speech, Sergey Selivanov, Deputy Director General at EXPOCENTRE AO, spoke about Elektro 2024 and noted that the show had maintained its position as the largest industry platform in Russia and CIS countries for more than half a century. It brings together manufacturers, suppliers and consumers of electrical equipment.

Andrey Podlesnov, Director General at Imperia Forum, emphasised that the Russian electrical market was in the stage of active development and introduction of innovative technologies. New facilities are being built and existing ones are being reconstructed. At the same time, these trends are accompanied by problems. Experts see three main difficulties that the market is trying to overcome. These are significant wear and tear of equipment, a high share of imported equipment, and staff shortage. These other issues formed the basis of the forum’s programme.

Participating experts will discuss macroeconomic trends and drivers of industrial development of Russia's electrical industry, opportunities for growth in sales of both domestic and imported goods in the future, promising trends in electrical engineering at the level of government and business, talk about the strategy for the development of Russian exports, as well as talk about commercial opportunities in Asian markets for Russian companies in the electrical industry.

The strategy session was attended by Viktor Svintsov, Executive Director at the Russian Associaiton of Electrotechnical Companies (RAEC), Vladimir Gamza, Chair at the Council for Financial, Industrial and Investment Policy, Head of the Industrial Renovation Project, member of the Board of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dmitry Gorelik, Director for Industrial Labelling at the Center for Research in Perspective Technologies, Surana Radnaeva, Director General at SinoRuss, Olga Grekova, Director at the Association of Manufacturers of LEDs, ANFPO Svetotekhnika Consortium, and others.
