Russian Health Care Week 2023, one of the oldest medical forums in Europe in the field of medicine and health care, covering almost the entire industry: equipment manufacturing, science and practical medicine, has opened at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds.

The format of the Week combines a large-scale business-related and scientific events and the Zdravookhraneniye, Healthy Lifestyle, MedTravelExpo. Medical Clinics. Health and Spa Resorts, the main purpose of which is to promote the implementation of the national projects Health Care and Demography, Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Science and Universities and the Development of Medical Services Export federal project.

The exhibitors showcase the latest medical equipment, medical devices, consumables, rehabilitation and prevention equipment, medical aesthetics, pharmaceuticals and products for a healthy lifestyle, medical and health-improving services, health improvement and treatment technologies in Russia and abroad. The PharmMedProm exhibition, organised under the auspices of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, presents the products of Russian manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and equipment.

A rich business-related and scientific and practical programme of the Week will bring together about 90 major industry events. The Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly, the State Duma of the Russian Federal Assembly, the Russian Ministry of Health Care, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Ministry of Defence, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the National Priorities ANO, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, state corporations, and relevant associations took part in the Week preparation and organisation.

Opening the official opening ceremony of Russian Health Care Week 2023, Yury Kalinin, President of the Rosmedprom Association, noted that the Zdravookhranenie exhibition, which was first held almost 50 years ago, remains the largest congress and exhibition event in the field of health care. Today the exhibition occupies 50 thousand square metres, with more than 1100 exhibitors from 15 countries.

Mikhail Murashko, Minister of Health Care of Russia, said in his welcoming speech that Russian Health Care Week is focused, among other things, on the development of medical institutions, provision of medical care and export of medical services. This direction is one of the most important today in terms of fulfilling the instructions of the President of the country. The demand for Russian health care is growing. And Russian Health Care Week is extremely important for us, as for the industry, which is the main consumer of medical products, the Minister emphasised.

Sergey Katyrin, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, defined the uniqueness of the Week as the fact that it brought together not only leading ministries and industry unions and associations, but also the entire business community of our country. According to him, colleagues in regional chambers of commerce and industry are showing extraordinary interest in Russian Health Care Week. Today, more than half of Russia’s regions are represented at the exhibition with group stands.

Ekaterina Priyezheva, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, noted that the event includes various formats. These include scientific and practical conferences for medical specialists, a business-related events for all Week participants, and a large show of the entire range of products and services to care and maintain the health of our citizens. Ekaterina Priyezheva read out a greeting from Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Minister of Industry and Trade.

The opening ceremony was also attended by Marina Levina, member of the Committee on Social Policy at the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly, Tatyana Butskaya, First Deputy Chair of the State Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children, Viktor Cherepov, Vice-President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and Vladimir Starodubov, Academic Secretary of the Department of Medical Sciences and member at the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

After the opening ceremony of Russian Health Care Week 2023, the 15^th Russian Assembly of Professionals in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Industries began its work.

Russian Health Сare Week 2023 runs until 8 December.
