A delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan, headed by Marat Akhmatov, Deputy Chair at the Chamber, visited EXPOCENTRE under the Cooperation Agreement between EXPOCENTRE AO and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan. The members of the delegation held negotiations with Maxim Fateev, Director General at EXPOCENTRE AO, received some recommendations in the exhibition departments of EXPOCENTRE, and had a number of business meetings with the exhibition management teams.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan is actively engaged in congress and exhibition activities. Revenues from it exceed half of all annual revenues of the Chamber.

We asked Marat Akhmatov to tell us how it was possible to achieve such results:

“Our Chamber has established a separate company, Tatexpo, which is engaged in organising exhibitions. Tatexpo's portfolio today includes several areas. The first one is the TEMP Global Metalworking Forum. It was held in early December 2024. The forum occupied an area of 10 thousand square metres at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre. It welcomed 115 exhibitors from 24 regions of the Russian Federation.

“Our second project is the STROYKA International Exhibition for building materials and equipment technologies. It was held for the first time last summer.

“The third area is the organisation of group stands and pavilions. In 2023, we arranged the first group exposition of the International Forum of Chambers of Commerce and Industry within the Russia. Islamic World forum. We brought together enterprises and organisations from different regions of the Russian Federation and presented them the system of chambers of commerce and industry.

“We also organised a pavilion of the Republic of Tatarstan at the Metalloobrabotka exhibition at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds, Moscow. This year we plan to participate in this exhibition again with a pavilion of the enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan. We have already booked a stand of 204 square metres.

“In addition, we have twice organised a stand at the SPROUTS: Russia and China – Mutually Beneficial Cooperation Forum in Kazan. Last year, together with the Chinese Eurasian Business Council, we presented the concept of the Great Tea Road.

“It should be added that all our exhibitions have conference programmes where we hold sessions on the most relevant topics, masterclasses, B2B meetings, supplier days, and so on. Business missions from the regions of the Russian Federation and other countries are always invited to these events.”
