The Chemistry for Farmers session took place within the Khimia 2021 international exhibition at Expocentre Fairgrounds as part of the 9th Moscow International Chemical Forum. It was organised by the Russian Chemists Union and EXPOCENTRE AO.
The session's moderator, Maria Ivanova, First Vice President of the Russian Chemists Union, noted that safe food cannot exist without safe agrochemicals. Therefore, the topic of chemistry for the agricultural sector is of particular relevance. The moderator also stressed that today our manufacturers are able to cover all the needs of the Russian farmers.
Zhanna Martynova, General Director of analytical company VladVneshService, member of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Committee on Foreign Economic Activity, told about the current situation in the market of the chemical industry for the agricultural sector and growing areas of sales in a detailed analytical report. She described the situation in the domestic chemical industry as favourable both in absolute terms and in comparison with other industrial sectors.
Nadezhda Pavlova from Rosselkhoznadzor informed about the new functions of her organisation regarding the production of chemical fertilizers. The session was also attended by representatives of major agro-fertilizer producers and representatives of higher education institutions.
The Panel on the International Trade in Chemical Products. Exports and Imports: Present and Future held today aroused great interest among industry specialists and participants in the Khimia 2021 exhibition.
The moderator was Irina Zasedatel, an expert practitioner, member of the Expert Advisory Council for Customs Policy Implementation under the FCS, and member of the Presidium of the Association of Exporters and Importers. In particular, she reported that the Association currently cooperates with chambers of commerce, business communities in more than 50 countries and has branches in more than half of them.
The participants of the panel discussed the support for Russian chemical exports, post-consumer logistics, logistics of hazardous chemicals, prospects for working with Asian markets and within the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as assistance to foreign exporters in the territory of Russia.
