The Rusweld 2021International Exhibition for Welding and Cutting Equipment, Materials and Technologies has opened within Russian Industry Week. The exhibition is organised by EXPOCENTRE AO with the support of the Russian State Duma Committee on Education and Science, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the industry associations: NAKS – the National Agency of Welding Control, RAR – the Russian Association of Robotics. For the first time, the Aluminium Association has become the partner of the exhibition.
About 50 companies from 9 countries - China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Belarus, Russia and Sweden - will demonstrate their developments.
Vladimir Kononov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation for Science and Higher Education and Chairman of the NTI Expo Organising Committee, Nikolay Aleshin, President of the National Agency of Welding Control and Head of the Department of Welding Technology and Diagnostics of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Nikolay Gusev, First Deputy Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO and others took part in the exhibition opening ceremony.
Vladimir Kononov noted that Rusweld 2021 is a young, gaining authority and professional recognition international exhibition for welding and cutting equipment, materials and technologies. It is no coincidence that it is included in the NTI Expo (Research-Technology-Innovations Expo) project, which is aimed at implementation of state programmes in science and technology, education, digital economy, industry, transport infrastructure, energy.
“Rusweld has become an important component of the Russian Industry Week, said Vladimir Kononov. “The exhibition brings together manufacturers, suppliers and consumers of welding equipment and products. The Rusweld exhibition is designed to showcase the industry's advanced solutions and best global practices”.
Nikolay Aleshin reminded that the home of welding is Russia and there is reason to be proud. Spending on welding this year amounts to 62 billion dollars. No other industry can boast such figures. "Welding as a science is developing very harmoniously in our country today," Nikolay Aleshin added. “There are 32 departments in educational institutions, where specialists are trained at a very high level”.
Nikolay Gusev expressed his gratitude to the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, under whose auspices the exhibition is held, the National Agency of Welding Control, the Aluminium Association and the Russian Association of Robotics for their support in organising this important event.
An important topic at Rusweld 2021 was non-destructive testing of operating properties and parameters of welded joints and products to detect defects. A number of events from the forum's conference programme are dedicated to current trends in the development of non-destructive testing, technical diagnostics and condition monitoring, industry-specific solutions, technologies for automation and digitalisation of NDT tools.
The exhibition runs till October 21.
