Rusweld 2024 hosted the Conference on Welding in Russia. Challenges and Solutions, organised by NAKS – the National Agency of Welding Control and EXPOCENTRE AO.

The first session was devoted to the issues of normative and legal regulation of welding and non-destructive testing, the National Qualification System in Welding and Control, and the interstate and national standardisation in welding and related processes. Andrey Prilutsky, NAKS Director General, moderated the discussion.

The reports were delivered by Sergey Kuznetsov, NAKS Technical Director, Alla Faktorovich, Deputy Director General at the National Agency for Qualifications Development, Alexander Chuprak, Chair at the Council for Professional Qualifications in Welding and NAKS Deputy Director General for Technical Regulation and Qualification Assessment, and other speakers.

The second part of the conference covered welding materials and equipment for welding, import substitution, and production prospects. Participating experts discussed the current state of the industry and shared their practical experience and their own developments in the field of welding.

In addition, today's Rusweld 2024 conference programme included a number of masterclasses organised by the Russian Welders Team and EXPOCENTRE, where various methods and techniques of modern welding production were discussed.
