The 33rd International Exhibition for Electrical Equipment, Lighting Engineering, Building Automation – Elektro 2025 has opened at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds. The event is organised by EXPOCENTRE AO with the support of the Russian Ministry of Energy and the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This year, 360 companies from 5 countries (Belarus, China, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkiye) are taking part in Electro on the area of 7,200 net square metres. China and Turkiye arrange national pavilions. There are 200 Russian exhibitors including major enterprises of the electrical industry.
The conference programme opened with the Business Forum on Electrical Engineering. New Energy of Development. Sergey Selivanov, Deputy Director General at EXPOCENTRE AO, addressed the participants of the opening analytical session on the electrical engineering market 2025-2026: development factors of the electrical engineering industry in the new paradigm of technological sovereignty, high geopolitical, financial and economic risks.
He pointed out that for many years EXPOCENTRE has been bringing together industry leaders – manufacturers, suppliers and major consumers of electrical equipment – at Elektro. The four-day showcase features the latest developments in all segments of the electrical market.
Sergey Selivanov also expressed confidence that the platform of the Business Forum on Electrical Engineering. New Energy of Development will allow to raise all the most relevant issues and discuss the trends of the electrical market.
Viktor Svintsov, the session’s moderator and Executive Director at the Russian Association of Electrical Companies (RAEC), introduced the speakers and spoke about the topics to be discussed during the session. These are trends and vectors of development of the Russian electrical engineering industry for 2025/26, key challenges and opportunities for the next year, the status of the import substitution project in electrical engineering for the next two years, and much more. The participants will pay special attention to business opportunities in the Asian and North African markets, prospects for Russian companies working with these regions, as well as new segments and niches.
Other reports were made by Dmitry Gorelik, Director for Industrial Labeling at the Chestny ZNAK National Track & Trace Digital System, Vladimir Gamza, member of the Board of Directors of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Aleksandr Afanasiev, Senior Researcher of the Centre for Innovative Economics of the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Khalil El Guermai, Director General at the National Federation of Electricity, Electronics, and Renewable Energies – Fenelec (Morocco), and Maksim Kuznetsov, Chair at the Russian-Asian Business Council.
Elektro 2025 is open until 4 April.
