The General Meeting of the Russian Chemists Union, chaired by Viktor Ivanov, President of the Union, took place at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds.

The Union’s meeting started with an award ceremony for the winners of a contest called ‘Five Stars. Leaders of the Chemical Industry’. The best enterprises and employees of the industry received awards and certificates.

Maxim Fateev, Director General at EXPOCENTRE AO, addressed the participants of the meeting with a welcoming speech. He expressed his gratitude to the Russian Chemists Union and its President Viktor Ivanov for supporting the Khimia exhibition and the invaluable work the Union does to promote and develop the industry.

Maxim Fateev noted that the development of the industry directly affects the growth of Khimia. This is especially obvious looking at Khimia 2024, which is attended by over 500 companies from 8 countries. This is evidence of the growing interest in the industry. And it is especially important to note the growing number of Russian companies at the exhibition that are demonstrating their achievements.

The Russian Chemists Union plays a key role in this process. It actively promotes the creation of a platform for the exchange of experience and knowledge between industry professionals. This, in turn, contributes to the development of new technologies and ultimately strengthens Russia's position in the global market.

The meeting participants listed to different reports and made a decision consisting of a number of points aimed at sustainable development of the chemical industry.
