The Plenary Session of the 13^th Congress of the Photonics Technological Platform took place within the conference programme of Photonics 2025. The event was organised by the Laser Association and EXPOCENTRE AO.   

Natalia Istomina, Deputy Academician-Secretary of the Physical Sciences Division at the Russian Academy of Sciences, made a report on the current state policy in publishing scientific and technical results. Vladimir Treschikov, General Director at T8 Group, spoke about accomplishments and prospects of Russian optical communication systems. Oleg Butov, Deputy Director at Kotelnikov Institute of Radio-Engineering and Electronics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, spoke on the topic of optical sensorics: current opportunities and practical use in Russia.

Today, the participants in conferences of the 13^th Congress of the Photonics Technological Platform discuss such relevant issues of the industry as photonics in agriculture and nature management, fiber light guide and fiber-optic components, holographic technologies, and many others. 

There will also be the Panel on the Russian-Chinese Cooperation in Photonics.  It will be moderated by Zhu Yun, Head of the Centre for Sino-Russian Scientific and Technical Cooperation under the Government of Hubei Province, and Ivan Kovsh, President of the Laser Association.

The panel aims to analyse the existing experience and develop coordinated recommendations on interaction between industry associations of Russia and China and joint proposals to the relevant governmental organisations on issues of support of such interaction. The participants will learn about the experience of working on joint projects of the two countries in the field of photonics.
