An event of the large conference programme held at Expocentre Fairgrounds within the Metalloobrabotka 2021 International Exhibition was Conference on the Current Development Level of the Russian Toolmaking Industry and New Metalworking Solutions. It was organised by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, EXPOCENTRE AO, the Industrial Project Management Centre.
The welcome speech for the participants was delivered by Alexey Kanin, the moderator of the conference and the programme director of the Industrial Project Management Centre.
The conference was opened by the speech of Khayrula Jamaldinov, Head of the Machine Instrumental Industry Development Department at the Machine-Building and Engineering Division of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade: “The Metalloobrabotka Exhibition is a major annual event. Industrial experts all over the country meet each other at Expocentre to tell each other what they have developed and, of course, maintain and expand their contacts”.
The speaker recalled that the Russian Government confirmed the Strategy for the Development of the Machine Tool Design Industry for the period until 2035. He gave details of state support measures used for the toolmaking industry. “Last year, manufacturers of tool products were subsidized in the amount of 60 mln rubles. The reimbursement of the share in cost for sale of pilot lots is very important. It allows to reimburse up to 50% of the product cost as well as export support measures implemented by the Russian Export Center including partial reimbursement of costs for transportation of products”, the representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
Experts of tool manufacturers shared their experience, the newest ideas and innovative solutions with their colleagues. Sergey Bolotskikh, Head of the cutting tools development, spoke about the carbide cutting tool made by LLC “Virial” and the potential for import substitution. Vadim Zambatov, deputy CEO of JSC “Terekalmaz” focused in his speech on the diamond dressing tool – its current condition and development trends. Igor Jikaev, CEO of JSC PC “Innotechmet” introduced the technological equipment as one of important tools for productivity. Alexander Moskvitin, CEO of LLC “SKIF-M”, spoke about new solutions in the sphere of milling tools. Speeches of industrial experts were closed by Pavel Reshetov, Executive Director of LLC “Microbor Composite”. The subject of his report was advanced methods used for cutting of hard-to-machine materials.
