EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds has opened its doors to CJF – Child and Junior Fashion 2025. Spring. The show is organised by EXPOCENTRE with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This spring, 190 brands presented new collections of clothing, footwear, accessories for children, and premium brands for teenagers on an area of more than 4,300 square metres. These brands represent eight countries: Russia, Belarus, China, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkiye, and Uzbekistan. The national pavilion is arranged by Turkiye.
The show’s conference programme includes about 30 events with well-known speakers and industry experts. The first event was a Meeting of the Expert Council on Youth Policy, Culture, Education and Child Safety under the Russian State Duma on the Topic of Career Guidance in the Textile and Garment Industry. It was chaired by Yana Lantratova, First Deputy Chair at the Russian State Duma Committee for Education.
The event was organised by the Expert Council in partnership with EXPOCENTRE AO, the National Project Fund for Support of Educational Initiatives, and the I’m on Style project.
The meeting’s moderator was Elena Kalgina, Deputy Chair at the Expert Council and Director at the I’m on Style project for young designers. The meeting was also attended by Alexandr Solonkin, Chair at the Expert Council, Natalia Zolotareva, Advisor to the Minister of Education of Russia, major players of the children's clothing and footwear market, representatives of executive authorities, parent associations, universities, and business support structures.
The meeting addressed HR issues in the textile and garment industry, upgrade of the personnel training system, popularisation of sewing professions among young people, including through family education, improvement of the system of incentives for young professionals in employment in their speciality, and raising the prestige of the profession.
In her welcoming speech, Yana Lantratova talked about a special role of EXPOCENTRE, which initiated and successfully implements together with the authorities, key industry players, investors, leading universities and colleges a special project called EXPOxpo-Accelerator. It helps young talents make the right professional choice in life. The project is already active in the healthcare sector, facilitating collaborations between medical students, their academic mentors, investors and manufacturers. Last year, the EXPO-Accelerator was successfully launched at CJF – Child and Junior Fashion.
At the end of the meeting, a resolution will be prepared with the participants' proposals to the federal executive authorities and the State Duma.
The meeting was followed by a fashion show from the founders of the I'm on Style project with the participation of students of Krasin Moscow College of Creative Industries. It took place at the CJF. Children's Catwalk platform.
