A working meeting between Director General at EXPOCENTRE AO Maxim Fateev and Director at the Kyrgyz Export Centre under the Kyrgyz Ministry of Economy and Commerce Urmat Takirov took place at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds.

The meeting participants discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, including the possibility of promoting the products of Kyrgyz companies to the Russian market through their participation in international exhibitions organised by EXPOCENTRE.

Maxim Fateev noted that in recent years the participation of Kyrgyz companies in EXPOCENTRE’s exhibitions had increased. It was possible thanks to the support of the embassies and chambers of commerce and industry of both countries.

Urmat Takirov stressed that the participation of Kyrgyz companies in exhibitions of EXPOCENTRE played an important role in the development of mutually beneficial trade and economic relations between Russia and Kyrgyzstan. The Russian market is a key market for Kyrgyz business. Mr. Takirov named agriculture and textile industry as the most promising areas for cooperation within the framework of industrial exhibitions.

The parties also discussed opportunities to expand the participation of Kyrgyz companies in the Prodexpo exhibition for foodstuffs and beverages and expressed confidence in long-term and fruitful co-operation.
