A photo exhibition of VOIR – the All-Russian Society of Inventors and Rationalizers has opened at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds. It is held as part of the 2nd Festival of the Science and Inventions for Life, which is Russia’s main festival for this country’s researchers and inventors of all ages.

The exhibition, which will run until 21 November, presents the developments of Russian inventors and researchers, demonstrating achievements in various fields of science and technology. The photo exhibition has become part of a large-scale event aimed at popularising the scientific and inventive potential of our country.

Maxim Fateev, Director General at EXPOCENTRE AO, stressed the importance of such initiatives. “We are pleased to welcome the photo exhibition of VOIR here at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds. The inventions and developments from various regions of Russia presented here clearly demonstrate the significant contribution of VOIR to the development of science and technology. We are proud of our long-term cooperation with this Society. A great merit in this belongs to Vladimir Kononov, Chair at the VOIR Central Council, who actively supports these initiatives. VOIR will organise a number of important events as part of the conference programme of Technoforum, which is the main event in the industry of technologies. These events will be of interest to both professionals and a wide audience,” said Maxim Fateev.

Maxim Fateev also noted the important cooperation between VOIR, EXPOCENTRE and the system of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stressing that these partnerships contribute to the development of inventive and innovative activities in this country.

Vladimir Kononov, Chair at the VOIR Central Council and Deputy Chair at the Russian State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education, spoke at the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition and expressed his gratitude to the management of EXPOCENTRE and the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for their support.

According to him, one of the key tasks of the photo exhibition is to show that there are many inventors in Russia who change our lives for the better with their developments. “The heroes of the exhibition are innovators from different cities of this country: Novosibirsk, Kazan, Ulyanovsk, Veliky Novgorod, Donetsk, Tyumen, Omsk, Sochi, and many others. Moreover, photo banners depict the developments and technologies of our inventors. Each photo is a story of creativity, perseverance and endless love for science and inventions,” said Vladimir Kononov.

The opening ceremony was also attended by representatives of VOIR, the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, inventors, exhibitors and visitors to Technoforum 2024.

The photo exhibition will be a landmark event for everyone interested in science, technology and inventions. It invites everyone to get acquainted with the achievements of Russian innovators.
