EXPOCENTRE organised the 3rd Forum on How to Create a Perfect Children's Dream Fashion Boutique. Tips from Seasoned Veterans: Design, Window Dressing, Merchandising, Team within the conference programme of CJF – Child and Junior Fashion 2025. Spring.
The event was moderated by Elena Danilevskaya, Federal Curator of the Russian Children's Goods Testing Project ‘Moms in Action’.
“These consultations are useful for those who are thinking about starting a business and those who are already doing business,” said Elena Danilevskaya. “Because you want to go back to your shop and redo everything after such consultations. Every year the experts give us new information, because everything changes, including approaches to doing business.”
The first speaker was Marina Polkovnikova, an expert in retail design and merchandising, and a managing partner of Polkovnikova&Partners Group in Central Asia.
“Creating retail spaces is not just about repainting walls,” emphasised Marina Polkovnikova. “It is an understanding of what we will do it for, what trends we will follow, and what task we want to fulfil. Because creating a shop is not just about beauty, but it is a clear commercial formula that should bring financial success.”
The forum covered trends in children's retail and practical issues of children's clothing shop operation such as visual merchandising, specifics of presenting a value of premium products, and a showcase as a tool to increase sales. The forum concluded with a masterclass on if a burnout in your favorite occupation possible, causes, detection and prevention, real cases by Yana Oreshina, a business psychologist.
The speakers included Viktor Malygin, Head of Educational Programmes at Fashion Consulting Group, Oksana Skvortsova, VMGROUP consulting on merchandising and retail design, and Evgeniy Danchev, an expert on increasing sales in the fashion market.
