The next meeting of the working group of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on finalizing the draft of the industry federal law was held in a hybrid format.

During the meeting, the draft federal law developed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation was discussed. Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Alexey Gruzdev noted that the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia is interested in developing such a regulatory document that would contain reasonable standards, satisfy the needs of all industry entities, and protect the rights of exhibitors at exhibition events.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and EXPOCENTRE were the initiators of this draft law at the time. Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on Exhibition, Fair and Congress Activities, Deputy General Director of EXPOCENTRE AO Sergey Selivanov noted in his speech that members of the relevant Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation have historically taken an active part in the development of the industry law. EXPOCENTRE sent its proposals for revision of the draft federal law prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. Sergey Selivanov thanked the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia for including most of EXPOCENTRE's proposals in the updated version of the draft law, especially drawing attention to the fact that the law should not become a regulatory tool for the industry, but rather a coordinating mechanism for its development, primarily aimed at modernizing the infrastructure and building new convention and exhibition centers, which is currently in increasing demand not only in the regions of Russia, but also in Moscow, where three quarters of all business events in our country are concentrated. The industry's position on the content of the draft law was also presented by: Director of the Department for Regulation of Foreign Trade and Development of the Trade Mission System of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Vladislav Barmichev, Executive Director of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs Elena Ublieva, Director of the Department of Commercial Relations and Business Development of the Krasnogorsk branch of Crocus Expo Petr Tutarashvili, General Director of IT Expo International LLC Dmitry Zavgorodniy, General Director of MVK LLC Alexander Shtalenkov, First Deputy General Director of ANO Kazan Expo Igor Astafyev, Director of Kuzbasskaya Yarmarka LLC Vladimir Tabachnikov, General Director of ExpoVolga LLC Andrey Levitan, General Director of the Union of Exhibition Developers Andrey Ambartsumyan and other leading industry players.
