Ilya Zubkov, Vice President at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held a meeting of the Organising Committee of the Competition of the Gold Mercury National Entrepreneurship Award with the participation of representatives of chambers of commerce and industry and members of the regional organising committees of the competition. The event was attended by more than 200 people.

The Organising Committee of the Competition was composed of heads of departments of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and organisations founded with the participation of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (World Trade Center, EXPOCENTRE, Soyuzexpertiza of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry). EXPOCENTRE is a traditional business partner of the Golden Mercury competition.

“The National Award was established by the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2002 by Evgeny Primakov. The award is held with the support of the Russian Federation Council, the Russian State Duma, and the Government of Russia. For 20 years, it has been one of the best competitions in terms of coverage of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as interest in it among entrepreneurs. The competition winners receive a very strong emotional charge!” said CCI Vice President Ilya Zubkov.

To maximise the coverage of Russian businesses wishing to take part in the National Award, regional stages of the competition will be held in each region of Russia in 2025 (based on the results of 2024). Regional organising committees of the competition have been created in all 83 chambers of commerce and industry of the Russian regions in cooperation with municipal chambers of commerce and industry.

Vladimir Gubernatorov, Advisor to the Director General of EXPOCENTRE and member of the Organising Committee of the Competition, spoke during the meeting and invited representatives of regional businesses to compete for victory in a special nomination of the federal stage: Demonstrating the Future – Innovative Breakthrough at the Exhibition.

“This is a good opportunity to present innovative developments and make your company known at the federal level,” said Vladimir Gubernatorov. “In 2024, EXPOCENTRE initiated a new special nomination: Demonstrating the Future – Innovative Breakthrough at the Exhibition. It was awarded that year for the first time. The purpose of the nomination is to support the business activity of companies that implement innovative solutions and demonstrate their developments and new technologies in a competitive environment at trade shows.”

The award ceremony will take place in June 2025.
