The 24th International Exhibition for the Chemical Industry and Science Khimia 2021, to be held at Expocentre Fairgrounds from October 25 to 27, will feature an extensive conference programme.
A major industry event will be the 9th Moscow International Chemical Forum (MICF), organised by EXPOCENTRE AO in partnership with the Russian Chemists Union. It will be attended by representatives of leading chemical companies, line ministries and industry associations, and the scientific and expert community.
The forum will start with the Strategic Session on the Competitiveness of the Russian Chemical Industry in the New Economic Reality to be moderated by President of the Russian Chemists Union Viktor Ivanov. Experts from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Business Russia public organisation, the Association of Exporters and Importers and other industry unions and organisations will speak at the session.
On the first day of the forum, there will be a Panel on Relevant Issues in the Regulation of Chemical Products in the Russian Federation. There will also be a Session on Specialty Chemicals: Import Substitution and Development, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Roshimreaktiv Association.
Another event of the first day, the topic of which has already aroused keen interest in the professional community, is the Panel on (Un)scary Chemistry: How to Combat Chemophobia and Popularise Chemistry with participation of MEL Science, Children's Technopark "Mendeleev Center", the Chemistry Department of Lomonosov Moscow State University, the National Priorities Autonomous Nonprofit Organisation, the Russian Association for Science Communication (AKSON), and the Polytechnic Museum.
The current situation in the market of the chemical industry for the agricultural sector, growing sales areas, control over the turnover of pesticides and agrochemicals, and other topical issues will be the subject of the Session on Chemistry for Agrarians. In parallel, there will be a Session on Decarbonisation Tools for the Chemical Industry.
EXPOCENTRE AO in partnership with the Association of Exporters and Importers is organising the Panel on the International Trade in Chemical Products. Exports and Imports: Present and Future. It will feature presentations by experts on topics such as: "Russian export support", "Post-export logistics", "Dangerous chemicals logistics", "Prospects of working with Asian markets", "EAEU countries - opportunities for trade interaction".
A Session on Implementing Changes in Accreditation in Laboratories will be of practical importance for representatives of the industry science.
The Conference on Analytical and Metrological Control of Oil and Petroleum Products will be held for petrochemical specialists. The Russian Conference on Standardisation and Certification in the Chemical and Technology Sector will also take place, with presentations by representatives of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Federal Technical Regulation and Metrology Agency (Rosstandart), the Federal Service for Accreditation (RusAccreditation, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
