The 20th anniversary edition of the Inlegmash International Exhibition for Equipment for the Textile and Garment Industry, running at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds on 1–4 March 2021, will introduce a new unique project Digital Factory, which is a real prototype of a working digital textile factory.

Throughout the exhibition, a separate stand will demonstrate the full cycle of modern digital apparel production from design and printing to cutting and sewing of finished garments.

A collaboration of leading textile market players, presenting their equipment and technology in selected areas of the 'factory', will help showcasing all technological aspects of modern digital production.

Digital Factory is organised by Inlegmash regular exhibitors: Smart-T, KNIT and Assol, that are leaders in their market segment. A Russian CAD software developer Assol will present its latest developments for designing textile and garment industry products from sketching to cutting. The company has invaluable experience in automating textile companies, and its solutions will be a starting point in the Digital Factory production chain.

The next technology area will be occupied by SMART-T showcasing Mimaki large-format textile printers for printing on natural and synthetic fabrics. The sublimation thermal transfer of printed images and their thermal fixation will be carried out by the TitanJet industrial calender thermal press, which is the most popular equipment on the Russian textile market. As an example of modern automation of the tailoring shop, the PHOTONIM laser cutting machine, which can replace more than a dozen of workers in this area, will be demonstrated.

The final sewing area for ready-made garments will be prepared by KNIT, which will introduce the latest automated industrial sewing equipment.

Specialists from the companies participating in the Digital Factory project will be on hand throughout the exhibition in each makeshift workshop. They will explain in detail the specifics of the technological processes and answer any questions visitors may have. Such a mini production, deployed within Inlegmash 2021, and the active participation of suppliers of technical solutions is evidence of the high interest of Russian companies in the active implementation of the latest digital technologies at domestic textile enterprises.

Digital Factory is a unique combination of demonstration of equipment and information, and offers an excellent opportunity to establish long-term, mutually beneficial contacts.

Inlegmash 2021 will take place within Russian Textile Week, which will also include the Interfabric 2021 International Exhibition for Fabrics and Textile Materials, the Textile&Home International Exhibition for Textiles for Home and Interior, the Legpromforum International Textile Industry Forum, and the 1st Inlegmash International Industry Conference.
