The 2nd International Conference on Aluminium Casting opened today in an online format and will last for two days. The event is organised by the Association of Producers, Suppliers and Consumers of Aluminium (the Aluminium Association) with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, in partnership with the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, RUSAL, State Research Center of the Russian Federation "NAMI", APRAL and EXPOCENTRE AO.

The conference is attended by international and Russian experts in aluminium processing, heads of machine-building and casting enterprises, equipment and tooling manufacturers and suppliers, industry research centres and analytical agencies. The agenda covers a wide range of important topics from market development of cast components for machinery, quality of casting alloys, modern methods of melt purity control to structural aluminium casting, computer modelling and R&D activities.

In his welcome address to the conference participants, Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO Alexey Vyalkin, noted that the Association of Producers, Suppliers and Consumers of Aluminium, which links over 120 market leaders, is a strategic business partner of EXPOCENTRE AO. The Aluminium Association takes part in many of EXPOCENTRE's key exhibition projects - the Neftegaz, Prodexpo, RosBuild, Mebel and Renwex exhibitions.

The current economic situation calls for special attention to systemic industry infrastructure support, in which exhibition communications occupy an important place, said Alexey Vyalkin. He thanked the members of the Aluminium Association for making full use of this business channel.

"I would very much like the effect of such communication to be extremely useful for the participants. I think that with our joint efforts we are able to do an extremely important job in the current difficult conditions to promote domestic aluminium products on the domestic and foreign markets," the head of EXPOCENTRE AO stressed.
