It was noted at the meeting that exhibitions helped establish business communication, and facilitated the exchange of technologies and information, the search for new markets and partners in investment and joint projects, the promotion of companies, personnel training, and the implementation of corporate culture. Business tourism serves the same purpose. Business tourism is crucial for the Russian economy, and its contribution has been on the rise in recent years. Exhibitions are the most frequent purpose of business travel.

Officials and representatives of business chambers, business and expert communities, and mass media attended both meetings of the Committee.
