The main trend of the Prodexpo 2020 International Exhibition for Food, Beverages and Food Raw Materials was expansion of Russian companies into export markets and promotion of Russian regional food brands.

This year, more than 500 companies from different regions of Russia showed their products intended for export. In the recent years, reginal group stands and pavilions have played an increasingly important role in promotion of brands in the new markets. They enable small and medium-sized businesses to showcase their products to a great number of buyers representing retail, HoReCa, public sector, and corporations.

According to the event audit of Prodexpo 2020, the show was attended by 68,647 professional visitors (+2.6% in comparison to 2019) from 115 countries and 85 regions of Russia. The Romir figures show that 82% of the visitors are purchasing decision makers or influences.

The event’s audience has been constantly renewing. Prodexpo 2020 welcomed more than 21,400 newcomers. This being said, the number of regular visitors, who put Prodexpo on their lists of must-attend events over many years, has increased to 34,700 people.

Prodexpo 2021 had regional group stands and pavilions showcasing 391 companies from 47 regions of Russia in total, including the Republic of North Ossetia – Alania, Altai, Stavropol, and Khabarovsk Krais, Astrakhan, Vladimir, Volgograd, Vologda, Kirov, Kostroma, Kursk, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Orel, Penza, Pskov, Ryazan, Tambov, Tver, Tula, Ulyanovsk, and Yaroslavl Oblasts.  

There were also 25 newcomers: the Republics of Adygea, Buryatia, Dagestan, Kalmykia, Karelia, Mordovia, Chechen, Kabardino-Balkar, Karachay-Cherkess, Khakassia, Mari El Republics, Arkhangelsk, Belgorod, Bryansk, Chelyabinsk, Kaliningrad, Leningrad, Moscow, Rostov, Samara, Saratov, Voronezh Oblasts, and Kamchatka, Krasnodar, and Perm Krais.  

Prodexpo is held by EXPOCENTRE AO with support of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and under auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

According to the Russian National Exhibition Rating, Prodexpo is Russia’s largest trade show in the exhibition space, professional interest and market coverage nominations. It ranks top ten of the world’s largest food trade shows.

Prodexpo plays a strategic role in shaping and developing the Russian food market. It showcases products of all sectors of the food market and is an effective networking platform for buyers of federal and local retail chains, non-chain retail representatives, and restaurant business professionals. 

The 28th edition of the International Exhibition for Food, Beverages and Food Raw Materials, Prodexpo 2021, will run at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds, Moscow, Russia, on 8–12 February 2021.
