The Session on Efficient Aluminium Solutions for the Oil and Gas Industry took place within the Neftegaz.LIVE conference programme at Neftegaz 2024. The event was organised by EXPOCENTRE AO and the Aluminium Association.

The session was moderated by Head of the RuscCable Media Holding Alexander Gusev. He outlined the topics, which included aluminium alloys, their application in the cable industry, and feasibility of their use.

Mikhail Rudyk, representative of the Aluminium Association, revealed the advantages of aluminium alloys over traditional copper cables. Alexey Lobanov, Head of Sales Department at the Bogoslovsky Cable Plant, spoke about the practice of using aluminium alloys in cable technology. Dmitry Chudnykh, Project Sales Director at the Moscabel Plant, presented the capabilities of his company. Ekaterina Kudina, representative of VNIPIneft – Research and Design Institute for Oil Refining and Petrochemical Industry, demonstrated a technical and economic effect of using aluminium alloy cable at petrochemical and oil refining enterprises.

The speeches were followed by numerous questions from the participants.

The conference programme also featured the Conference on Modern Technological Solutions for the Oil and Gas Industry and Well Surveying. Building of Multidisciplinary Teams. The event was organised by EXPOCENTRE AO with the support of Moscow Petroleum Institute.  

The speakers reported on modern well and reservoir research methods to improve the efficiency of oil and gas field development.
